Pinky,
When I am with you,
I feel comfortable,
as if life itself
has meaning again.
But when we are far apart,
when we are not together,
when I cannot hear your voice
or see you on the other side of a call,
the distance feels heavier
than the miles between us.
You know how much I love you.
But I still want you to know
how much I appreciate you,
how much I value what we have,
and how much this relationship
has become part of my life.
Sometimes there are no words
big enough to explain
what you mean to me.
And sometimes I make mistakes.
Sometimes, when I am trying
to show you how much I love you,
how much I care,
somehow I end up doing
the opposite.
I know I am not perfect.
Neither of us is.
But look at how much
we have already given each other.
Look at the effort.
The patience.
The sacrifices.
The arguments we survived.
The moments we came back.
The times we chose each other
when letting go might have been easier.
We have invested so much
of ourselves
into loving one another.
So when you look at these photographs,
I hope you remember.
Remember the days
when we were together.
Remember the laughter.
The places we went.
The way we stood beside each other.
The way we looked at one another.
Remember the promises we made
that we would not simply let go.
And look at the life
we have built so far.
Look at the beautiful evidence
that our love existed,
that it mattered,
that it created something
greater than either one of us.
Look at Sabrina.
Our little girl.
The fruit of our love.
And whenever you look at her,
I hope somewhere inside your heart
you remember me too.
I hope she reminds you
that distance does not erase love.
That silence does not erase love.
That miles cannot erase
everything we have shared.
And no matter how far away you are,
no matter how long the distance feels,
I want you to remember one thing:
I love you.
I still love you.
And somewhere across all these miles,
my heart is still reaching
for yours. ❤️
