The Day I Lost You

The Day I Found Myself

The Day I Lost You.

The Day I Found Myself.

There are nights when I still think of you.

There are moments I still feel I cannot live without you.

The day I lost you was the day I lost everything that seemed to matter to me.

I lost my life.

I lost my way.

I could no longer see.

I could not bear to imagine a future without you.

Yet I also could not bear the thought of never finding myself again.

Every moment felt heavier than the last.

The day I lost you...

was the day I found myself.

Time cannot erase the past,

but it allows me to write the future.

When the day comes and you're no longer here beside me,

I may stand still for a moment,

remembering what once was.

But I will keep walking.

Because what I miss is not simply being with you.

I miss the future I believed we would build together.

Then one truth quietly found me.

If my future can only exist with you,

then I have surrendered my future entirely.

A future that depends upon another person is not truly mine.

So today, I choose to build a future that can stand on its own—

one that welcomes love,

but is no longer sustained by it.

The day I lost you

became the day

I finally found myself.
