RomNote Poetry
Lonely Nights
The night begins with tears in her eyes
Till morning comes staring at the blue sky
She's been waiting for his return
Hoping he'd come home soon
The night passes by without his sign
As she continues to hope for his return
The picture of him standing at the corner of their bed
remains steady as she begins to miss him more deeply
"Will he ever return?"
How long has she been waiting?
Every minute seems forever
And the night passes by so slow
Her memories comes back from where they began:
As young lovers sitting by lake with his arms around her
When he occasionally brings her flowers and red roses.
His kisses are sweeter than honey
His hugs are warmer than fur clothe
When they stare at the same star
When the nights burn with passion as they cool each others body
Memories of him only make her tears drop
Knowing it's been 20 years since he passed
But every night she waits for him
Hoping he will return to give her once more
Hugs and kisses she's been hoping for...
