Faith Reflections
The Father & Son Reflection: “God Has Not Forgotten Me”
A faith-centered reflection on doubt, suffering, Christ's humanity, and the quiet realization that God remains present even when He feels unseen or distant.
God Is Still With Us
Refined Reflection — A personal faith reflection by Romeo.
This powerful realization about God reminds me that He is still with us.
There are times when we doubt Him because of the things we go through in life. We may feel as if He is not listening, or as if He has abandoned us. But the truth is, God has always been with us.
Sometimes it is through suffering, pain, and even the feeling of being abandoned by God that we begin to realize He is still there. There is a God unseen, even when we cannot feel Him.
But this realization can only happen when we are truly honest with ourselves. We have to admit that sometimes, maybe even often, we begin to doubt. We have to admit that we are not always happy with our lives. We suffer. We hurt. We question. Not because we thought faith would shield us from pain, but because we are human.
Christ Himself became human. He knew suffering, sorrow, loneliness, and anguish. He knew what it meant to cry out to the Father in pain.
We have to be honest about life. Life is not perfect. Calling ourselves Christians does not mean we will always live a blameless, easy, or abundant life. It means we are willing to face the truth — that our lives can be painful, difficult, and sometimes miserable — while still choosing to bring that truth before God.
When we accept the truth about both our faith and our doubt, only then can we begin to see it:
God is still with us.
