This morning, I am sitting in the parking lot, preparing to go to work.

I'm not okay.

And sometimes I wonder whether it even matters if I am.

There is a pain within me that I cannot simply dismiss. I carry it wherever I go. I carry it to the gym, to work, into my conversations, and into the quiet moments when there is nobody around to see what I am feeling.

I am still trying to find the beauty within. Still trying to find hope.

And yet, despite everything, I find myself appreciating the morning.

There is something wonderful about the morning that people often overlook.

Some say the morning is beautiful because it represents a new beginning. A new day. Another chance. Another opportunity to find hope.

But that is not what makes the morning beautiful to me.

The morning is beautiful because it is beautiful.

It does not need to represent anything.

It is the smell of the air. The grass. The trees. The leaves. The sunlight slowly touching the ground.

It is the way darkness gradually gives way to light, revealing the world that was always there, even when I could not see it.

There is something extraordinary about standing in that moment and watching the world become visible.

The morning does not promise that tomorrow will be better.

It does not promise that my suffering will end.

It does not guarantee happiness, love, or hope.

And it does not have to.

Its beauty exists independently of those promises.

For a brief moment, the hour still belongs to me. I can stand there, breathe the morning air, look at the trees, and decide what I want to do with the time that is mine.

Perhaps that is enough.

And as I think about the morning, I find myself thinking about Pinky.

My relationship with her hurts.

There are things she does, decisions she makes, and choices she wants for herself that I do not always agree with or understand.

Sometimes, when I tell her that I am okay with those choices, I feel the pain of that acceptance.

Every okay can become another burden.

Every sure can become another feeling I must carry.

And yet, there is something else I have begun to experience.

Something I cannot fully explain.

There are moments when I think about Pinky, about her decisions, her thoughts, her desires, and the person she is, and I feel something wonderful.

Not because I suddenly agree with everything.

Not because I finally understand every reason behind her choices.

Not because all the pain has disappeared.

But because, in those moments, I can simply accept her.

I can appreciate her without needing to understand everything about her.

I can love her without requiring every decision to make sense to me.

And sometimes, that acceptance brings me a happiness that words cannot adequately describe.

It is a strange feeling.

The same acceptance that sometimes hurts can, at other times, feel beautiful.

I do not know exactly why.

Perhaps I do not need to know.

I am not trying to convince myself that everything is fine. I am not pretending that the disagreements never existed or that my heart no longer aches.

I know what I feel.

I know what I have endured.

But I also know that there are moments when accepting Pinky brings me a quiet, wonderful feeling that I want to preserve.

That is the feeling I am searching for.

That is the feeling I want to keep.

Not the pain of forcing myself to say okay when I am hurting, but the beauty of reaching a moment when I can genuinely appreciate the person I love, even when I do not understand everything about her.

Perhaps it is similar to the morning.

I do not demand that the sunlight explain itself.

I do not ask the trees why they are beautiful.

I do not require the morning to promise me happiness before I allow myself to appreciate it.

I simply look at it.

And I find it beautiful.

Maybe there are moments when love can be experienced in much the same way.

Not as an argument to be won.

Not as a question that must always have an answer.

Not as a struggle to make another person see the world exactly as I do.

But as an appreciation of someone whose existence means something to me.

I love Pinky.

And even when our differences hurt, there are moments when I can appreciate her for who she is.

That feeling is real.

Just as the pain is real.

I do not have to deny one to experience the other.

Today, I am still hurting.

I am still trying.

I am still searching for something within myself that I cannot completely describe.

But this morning, I saw the sunlight touching the ground. I appreciated the trees, the leaves, and the air. And I thought about the woman I love.

For a moment, acceptance did not feel like another wound.

It felt wonderful.

And I want to remember that.

I want to remember that even when I cannot explain what I feel, it does not make the feeling any less real.

It doesn't have to make sense, but it does.

And perhaps, for this morning, that is enough.
