Prayer of Reconciliation

A Prayer of Return, Forgiveness, and Faith

A personal prayer of return to God—asking forgiveness, acknowledging His continued presence, and choosing faith through pain, doubt, struggle, and reconciliation.

“I am not praying only because I am sad. I am praying because I acknowledge that You are still here.”

The Prayer

Father God,

I do not know where to begin, and sometimes I do not even know whether You can hear me. I know I have been away for a long time. I turned my back because of disappointment, pain, doubt, and the desires that pulled me away from You.

Lord, forgive me.

Can You hear me, Lord? Please be with me. Stand with me and fight beside me. I give You all my pain, and I give You all the glory. But I am not giving up.

Lord, I believe You hear me. Despite everything—despite the pain and the struggles—I know You have never truly left me. When everything seemed hopeless, You gave me something to hold on to. You helped me find the strength to stand back up, and I thank You for that.

I am not praying only because I am sad. You already know my situation, Lord. This prayer is not simply about whether I feel happy or broken. It is about acknowledging You. It is about recognizing that You are still here and that You have remained with me.

I love You, God.
I love You, Jesus.

Father, please forgive me. Stay with me throughout this day and throughout my life.

Amen.
