The Original Poem — Preserved Unedited
Time passes through Whenever I am With You
Loneliness Replace, If I could only see your face
The Moment I Saw Your Smile
Those Sparkles from your Eyes
They are beautiful as the stars
If I can only see them again
My heart is searching for someone to love
Though close, it seems so far
Within my heart, you're close enough to be
An Angel Below The Balcony
My heart has yet to see
From the moment that I've saw you
Through this moment that I think of you
Wishing you're in my arms
Being together may seem so far
Because...
Not knowing who you are
Distance between us seems a moment away
But seeing you again seems so far away
Only if I may
Just have that moment once more, my heart will say
Pecan Pie?
The Polished Second Version
Time passed differently in the moment I was with you.
Loneliness returned when I could no longer see your face.
I remember the moment I saw your smile,
the sparkle within your eyes,
beautiful as the stars.
If only I could see them once again.
My heart is searching for someone to love.
Though you may be close, you still seem far.
Within my heart, you are close enough to become
the angel below the balcony—
someone my heart has seen,
but has yet to know.
From the moment I saw you
to every moment I have thought of you,
I have imagined you within my arms.
Being together may seem impossibly far
for one simple reason:
I do not yet know who you are.
The distance between us may be only moments,
yet seeing you again feels worlds away.
If life would allow me
just one more moment with you,
perhaps my heart would finally know what to say:
Pecan pie?
What the Moment Opened
The poem preserves a brief encounter rather than claiming a love story that has not yet happened. Its true distance is not measured in miles, but in anonymity, chance, and the space between being seen and being known.
The smile becomes the only certain possession: one calm moment that interrupted loneliness. The balcony gives longing a viewpoint, while the missing name creates the distance.
She may have been a moment. The poem preserves what the moment opened.
And the final question keeps Romeo inside the poetry. The longing remains sincere; the pecan pie keeps it human.
